Psalm 34:30 Magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together. However, telescopes are designed for viewing distant, faint objects. Although both instruments magnify objects so that the human eye can see them, a microscope looks at things very near, while telescopes view things very far away. Biologists and chemists use microscopes ordinarily in laboratories, while astronomers use telescopes in observatories. Both instruments use lenses to MAGNIFY objects. The word "magnify" in Greek is (doxazō), to glorify, honor, have glory, make glorious, full of glory. When David says, in Psalm 34:3, O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His name together. David doesn't mean to look at God's tiny from the start; then, enlarge it. But he begins to look at God from a bigger perspective. He fully showed the greatness of God, then he extols it and celebrates in praise! When the time we received Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, His attributes never lessen in our lives. We possessed the immutable and eternal God. He is complete and perfect in Himself. His knowledge, will, and purpose are unchangeable. (Num. 23:19; Isa. 46:11; Ps. 19:21). This is the God that we seek, we have, we love, and magnified in our bodies (Ps. 40:16; Phil. 1:20).
We are not called to be microscopes, but telescopes!
